I love having combt pets in a game for 2 resons first as compony while playing solo a 2 its great to have help when you need it my first experince with combat pets was in fallout 4 when dogmeat joined me i loved him.


Pets (also called Non-Combat Pets or Vanity Pets)[1] are companion creatures that will follow the player. They are account-wide vanity items and don't help in combat. Some pets have special attributes unrelated to combat, such as the Bristleneck War Boar, which increases your inventory capacity by 5 slots on all characters account wide.

A pet can be summoned by activating it from the Collections tab, although they cannot be used in Cyrodiil. You can only have one pet active at a time. As of Update 6, pets can be given individual names. Pets were originally bound items, and needed to remain in your inventory to stay active. A summoned assistant will temporarily replace your pet until dismissed.


Some of the pets were available as loyalty rewards given for a certain number of months of paid subscription, and some are purchases available from the Crown Store. Others are only available from various promotions. The only pets available from standard gameplay are Razak's Opus and Stonefire Scamp, although several can be earned in a similar fashion by completing DLC content or as DLC loyalty rewards.

Despite their popularity, these items have no effect on combat. In some games, you can gain access to animals with unrelated combat abilities by increasing your inventory capacity by five slots on all characters. For example, the Bristleneck War Boar, which has five slot-ups on all characters, increases your inventory capacity by five slots.


Eso pets from quests are a great way to get your hands on some of the rarer and more difficult to find pets in the game. They can be a great addition to your collection, and can even help you with some of the tougher quests in the game.


Necromancers have a variety of combat pets they can summon, depending on level. The appearance of these pets differs between types (fighter/tank pet, scout pet, mage pet), and also by the level of the pet-summoning spell, and by the quality of the spell (Apprentice, Journeyman, Adept, Expert, Master, Grandmaster, Ancient).
